We used to go to the Sagebrush Cantina in the middle 70s.

It had a hitching post out front and just a few tables inside a two tables outside.

Over the years it kept taking over the places next door and built a nice outdoor area where we went for Sunday brunch every week.

A pitcher of Sangria then home for a nap.

We left LA in 1980 and moved to Wisconsin.

Was a great time.

It was fun times.

Mary was the Manager.

She worked there for DECADES. I'm from Las Vegas and transferred to Calabasas with the company I worked for.

We had a Restaurant/Club directly across the street from you called Alias Smith and Jones.

When they closed, I came across the street and worked at the Cantina (Bartender).

Was a great time.

My name is Mark Owens , and I had the privilege of spending time with Bob McCord, Don, and all his team during a International Surf Boat Series in 1992 & 1993 .

Bob sponsored the series which was contested each year with races in Australia , New Zealand & the USA at San Diego twice at each country over those 2 years.

We also rowed some exhibition races in LA . The American Surf Boat Crew were made up of Lifeguards who competed to represent at these races and they did very well with limited experience and time to prepare .

I was sorry to hear of Bobs passing back in 2008 and he was a loud and funny guy . We had some great travels and he loved coming to Australia.
